The type of fume hood that is right for you will depend on the environment in which you are going to use it. K-Log is committed to helping you find the right one. There are two main types of fume hoods. The first is a ducted fume hood that uses your buildings ventilation system to remove harmful fumes and disperse them outside. The second is a ductless fume hood that uses a filter to absorb chemicals and release clean air back into the building. Both are designed for use in a laboratory to protect the user and control airborne irritants and hazards.

When your situation calls for it, you may choose the re-circulating laboratory fume hood. It includes a filter that can handle removing hazardous fumes from liquids, gasses and solid chemicals. This mobile fume hood station requires only an ordinary outlet for use and is perfect for sharing between classes. It includes a thick acrylic enclosure which allows students to gather safely on both sides for close observation and participation.

The bench mount fume hood needs to be attached to an existing table or cabinet. The complete fume hood assembly includes both the exhaust hood and a cabinet.
